The Søborg chair was designed by Børge Mogensen in 1950 as a functional and elegant plywood shell chair that could be efficiently produced using contemporary machining technology. In 1952 Mogensen adapted his design to include a steel frame option, bringing his characteristic finesse and craft to a material he did not commonly employ.
Available in solid rubber wood and steel frame and several finishes on the seat and back, our Soborg Chair is reproduced to the style of the original design.
